Here at the Good Grain Bakery, we have been inspired to build a gluten-free and vegan bakery, with the aim of producing an honest and delicious product to cater for those with allergies and intolerances. Our dedicated site enables us to manufacture our products to a high quality, empowering us to provide a range of bread and crostinis to our clients.
Since launching our product, our retail customers have grown to include the likes of Ocado, Abel & Cole, Daylesford, Planet Organic, and Selfridges with a number of new retailers looking to join this list! Demand for our product has been demonstrated through sales hitting 165% growth over the last 12 months, coupled with our position as a finalist or the free-from bakery product of the year 2017!
Free-From category sales hit over £806.1m last year, with a 40.1% growth from the previous year. Brits who regularly shop the free-from fixture has more than doubled in the past two years, from 19% to 43%.
With your investment, we plan to upgrade and expand all of our equipment to create the capacity to launch with national grocers. We are aiming to use the remainder of the funds to boost our brands' presence and further diversify our team.
Your investment will also enable us to develop and launch new products, helping us to gain a foothold in the health & well-being consumer market.
Tara Taylor, the founder of Good Grain Bakery, set out to develop a range of real gluten free bread. She wanted to create gluten free bread that is also free from synthetic ingredients and other allergens commonly found in gluten free baked goods.
”I was dissatisfied with the overall offerings within the‘free from’ aisle in the mainstream supermarkets, so as a result, I decided to solve the problem and create recipes and products that were not only nutritious and healthy, but that actually tasted nice.
The demand for such products, (real bread without gluten, allergens and synthetic ingredients) became quite apparent, very quickly from the responses I received when I put the notion out there.
Since commercialising our products, we have received an overwhelming amount of positive and happy correspondence from customers on all levels.”
